Swage-locked grating, also known as aluminum bar grating, is a high-performance solution for walkways, stair treads, trench covers, and architectural applications. Manufactured by inserting cross bars into pre-punched holes in bearing bars and then swaging them under high pressure, this process creates a permanent interlock structure that is strong, stable, and built to last.
Available in I-bar, rectangular bar, and T-bar types, swage-locked grating delivers comparable load capacity with up to 1/3 less weight than traditional welded steel grating.
