Welded Steel Grating

Features: Known for its high strength and durability, welded steel grating is the most commonly used type, suitable for all standard applications.

Applications: Ideal for platforms, walkways, bridge decks, and floors, especially in industrial environments requiring high load-bearing capacity.

Press-Locked Grating

Features: Offers excellent lateral stiffness, providing a secure and stable surface for various applications.

Applications: Suitable for areas where a firm and steady platform is essential, such as industrial walkways and platforms.

Riveted Grating

Features: Provides a smooth surface, making it suitable for pedestrian traffic, including individuals wearing high-heel shoes or using wheeled equipment.

Applications: Commonly used in public walkways, commercial spaces, and areas requiring a smooth walking surface.

Kick plates (toe boards), checker plate safety covers, and mounting accessories can be welded around the grating edges as needed.

Edge banding can be done using flat bars of different sizes from the bearing bars, or using angle steel, channel steel, or square tubes.

Handles and hinges can be installed on gratings that need to be moved or opened frequently.

Edge welding standards:

Series 1: weld every 5th bearing bar

Series 2: weld every 4th bearing bar

Series 3: weld every 3rd bearing bar
Welding must be single-sided fillet welds with a minimum throat thickness of 3 mm and a weld length of 20 mm.

Grating Specifications

30 mm Bearing Bar Spacing: The most widely used type in industrial applications, offering the best resistance to surface impact.

40 mm Bearing Bar Spacing: The most economical and lightweight option—ideal for short-span applications.

60 mm Bearing Bar Spacing + 50 mm Cross Bar Spacing: Specially developed for the mining industry. Effectively prevents material buildup on the surface, commonly used in mineral processing plants, transfer stations, and crushing systems.

Grating Materials

1.Bearing bars and cross bars are typically made from Q235 steel in accordance with GB/T700. Other materials can be used upon agreement between supplier and customer.

2.Bearing bars are made from hot-rolled flat steel or slitted steel strips (hot or cold rolled).

3.Serrated bearing bars are made from hot-rolled flat steel or slitted, serrated hot/cold-rolled strips. There must be at least 5 serrations per 100 mm.

4.I-shaped bearing bars are defined by their cross-sectional size and moment of inertia, offering optimized load performance.
